Project Overview
The Challenge
Industrial Systems was invited by Consor (formerly Murraysmith) to help the City of Duvall, WA with some immediate needs to make changes and repairs to their SCADA system after one of their remote telemetry sites was demolished by a vehicle crash. The team was able to assist with short-term patches to the system and then entered into a contract to complete a SCADA System Master Plan for the City.
Our Approach
The Solution
The Master Plan was well received by City leadership, and an RFP was issued to select a SCADA system implementation company. Industrial Systems responded and was selected as Duvall's SCADA System Integrator/Supplier.
The team completed the installation of a Wonderware-based SCADA system at the City's public works building, along with new PLC-based remote telemetry units (RTUs) at each of the City's reservoirs, pump stations, and main valve supply stations. A private cellular network was configured for secure connections to the remote sites.
Following the successful installation, a second phase of improvements was completed in partnership with the City to develop and install chlorine monitoring sites at strategic locations within the water distribution system. Industrial Systems continues to provide on-call support to the City.
