Industrial Systems has been licensed and registered in Alaska for many years.
We have provided PLC programming and troubleshooting training for the North Slope oil fields, and we have completed the control system design, panel fabrication and startup, and commissioning for various water/wastewater treatment and pumping applications, as well as for several fuel delivery pump stations in rural Alaska.
Two years ago, we decided to “test the waters,” so to speak, and we established an office on the Kenai Peninsula in south-central Alaska.
We have been successful in hiring incredibly talented engineers that wish to live in the paradise that is rural Alaska. They are all thrilled to have engineering jobs with an office literally 5 minutes from the boat launch – what is arguably some of the best salmon and halibut fishing in North America.
This summer (2025), we purchased an office building there as our commitment to the communities and employees has become an integral part of our culture.
This week, we executed our first contract to support and upgrade a water plant for the Village Safe Water Program, the entity that builds and maintains drinking water treatment and distribution systems in rural Alaska communities.
We are thrilled to continue expanding our water and wastewater business and are also working to grow our industrial control system business in the region.
Our thanks to the Village Safe Water Program team for trusting us to address your treatment system SCADA needs – and to the various contractors and clients who are helping us grow our Alaska business!
