This position will provide design and design oversight for electrical and control systems for material handling, process control and municipal water and wastewater projects. Responsibilities include control system design, electrical system design coordination with customers, contractors and other staff members. Industrial Systems offers a 10 to 12-week summer internship for electrical engineering students. Interns will gain experience creating electrical plan drawings, circuit schedules, sizing of conduit and wire to comply with the National Electrical Codes as well as researching electrical connection details for commercially available electrical and instrumentation equipment. There is also the opportunity to collaborate on the development of control system design drawings as well as Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) programming.

The internship focuses on electrical and control system design consulting for industrial process control and material handling projects as well as water and wastewater treatment and pumping projects.

Sophomore and Junior students in an Electrical Engineering Bachelor of Science (or higher) program at an accredited college are encouraged to apply.

Location: Vancouver, WA or Anchor Point, AK

Pay: $23/hour – $27/hour
